A logistics company built on schedule adherence, not sales promises

Founded in Victoria in 2017, Pulsepastro exists to bring predictability to Canadian freight.

What Pulsepastro does and who it serves

Pulsepastro is a Victoria, British Columbia logistics company that moves freight for small and mid-size businesses — manufacturers, retailers, e-commerce merchants, and distributors — who need a carrier that performs consistently rather than one that simply quotes the lowest rate. We operate across four service lines: domestic freight (FTL and LTL across Canada), international shipping via Vancouver Port and YVR, warehousing at our Victoria facility, and last-mile delivery throughout Greater Victoria and the surrounding peninsula. Our clients range from a two-person skincare startup storing 40 SKUs in our warehouse to a regional building-materials distributor moving 60 pallets per month to Alberta. We do not work with logistics volumes that require dedicated account management at the enterprise scale — our sweet spot is the business shipping between 1 and 200 pallets per month that needs professional service without an enterprise contract.

How we work and what we believe about logistics

The Pulsepastro team of 14 people — dispatchers, drivers, warehouse staff, and two international coordinators — operates from a single facility on Fort Street in Victoria. We have handled more than 11,000 domestic shipments since founding in 2017, and our 12-month on-time delivery rate sits at 97.8 percent across all domestic routes. That figure is tracked weekly and reviewed in our operations meeting every Monday morning; it is not a marketing estimate. We work with a clean, teal-modern operations platform that clients access directly — there are no middlemen reading reports on your behalf and summarising them at their convenience. When something goes wrong — a missed connection, a damaged carton, a customs query — a person from our team contacts you before you have to contact us. That standard is the internal rule, not the marketing version of it. We also accept that logistics performance depends on factors we do not control: ferry schedules, weather events, carrier network congestion, and port delays. When those factors affect a shipment, we tell you what we know, when we know it, and what the revised ETA is. We do not offer guarantees we cannot fulfil.

“What sets Pulsepastro apart is that they called us about a transit delay before we noticed it ourselves. Our previous carrier let a shipment sit at a transfer hub for three days without a word. That kind of proactive communication is rare in this industry and it has made them our default carrier for everything out of Victoria.”
