Last-Mile · Greater Victoria
Route-optimised dispatch and proactive customer communication for final-leg delivery across Greater Victoria.
Last-mile delivery is the segment of logistics with the highest failure rate industry-wide — missed windows, no-shows, and failed delivery attempts generate more customer complaints than any upstream stage. Pulsepastro addresses this by routing every delivery run through our optimisation software the evening before dispatch, sending recipients a one-hour arrival notification via SMS, and requiring drivers to capture a geotagged photo at each drop. If a delivery cannot be completed, the recipient is contacted within 15 minutes to arrange a same-day re-attempt or alternate drop point. Our current service area covers Greater Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, and the Western Communities.

Automated SMS sent to the end recipient one hour before arrival. Reduces failed delivery attempts by giving recipients time to be available or redirect to a neighbour or safe location.
Every completed drop is documented with a geotagged, timestamped photo. The image and coordinates are stored in the client portal and available for dispute resolution.
Failed first-attempt deliveries trigger an immediate callback to the recipient. Where the address permits, a re-attempt is made the same day at no additional charge.
Our regular last-mile coverage does not extend to the Gulf Islands (Salt Spring, Galiano, Pender, and others accessible only by ferry) without a separate surcharge and pre-arranged ferry booking. We do not offer same-day delivery on orders manifested after 14:00. White-glove two-person installation delivery is available for furniture and appliances but requires scheduling at least 48 hours in advance and is not available on Saturdays. Fragile goods requiring specialised crating or art-handling falls outside our standard last-mile scope.
“We run an online furniture shop and contracted Pulsepastro for our Victoria deliveries in early 2023. The geotagged photo confirmation solved a chronic dispute problem we had with a prior carrier. Our customer satisfaction score for delivery went from 3.6 to 4.7 out of five in the first quarter.”
